Max's Restaurant

We were planning to dine at TGIF as my fiance has a discount coupon. Being her forgetful self, she left the coupon in the office. Good thing is we decided to have dinner in Max's which I love. I just love how their chicken taste blends with Jufran banana Ketchup. As usual we ordered their best selling chicken, Half Chicken regular P141, Cream of Asparagus Soup P32, Bottomless Sago gulaman for P54, Plain Rice P23, Lumpia Fresh P41. The total is P331. See the the plate of my fiance, it's simply "Sarap to the Bone".

Fat Michaels Place at Makati

One of the best restaurant that my officemate has been regularly talking about is Fat Michaels, they have been dining at this place for more than 3x and they never tire of it. So, I decided to try have dinner at this place together with my lovely fiance as we are going to discuss details about our wedding next year. Fat Michael is a house converted to restaurant, they do not have a big signage. They are located at Lacuna corner Bangkal Street very near Makati View Apartelle. We were early (around 6pm) as we didn't make any reservation. It is best to reserve as most people need to make a reservation to get a seat. The interior has an old spanish feel, there are paintings on the wall and most of the lightings have an antique look. We ordered Paella for 2 for P225, Beef Salpicao for P205, Ice Tea Pitcher for P140, Pan Seared Fillet in Olive and Thyme for P220. The serving is just enought for 2. We really love the Paella which tasted really good. Their Ice Tea is also very tasty and you'd want to drink more and more. Some customers were asking how they made this ice tea but it remains a trade secret... how I wish I knew... Our total bill is P790. They do not issue any official receipt and they only accept cash.

Wan Chai Restaurant at Tomas Morato

I was going back to our province so I decided to drop by at Wan Chai Restaurant in Tomas Morato for some pasalubong. As I was in a rush, I ordered some dimsum as it's already available. I decided to order Fish Tausi for P65, 2 orders of Shrimp Siomai for P55, Minced Beef Ball for P48, Tausi Chicken Feet for P55, 4pcs. Siopao Special for P55 and Asado Siopao for P48. Total bill was 546 which I paid through my credit card. They gave me a Php100 gift cheque for soneva footspa which is located on the 4th floor of the same building. While waiting, they served me complimentary hot tea. Since I was in a hurry, I did not double check my orders. Apparently, they left out my order of chicken feet. The siomai was also not properly packaged and it ended up in my bag. In the end, I seem to have paid for the footspa gc. So much for the rush...
