Recipes by Cafe Metro at Greenbelt 3

Time for some fun with my relatives and we decided to start the night with dinner in Greenbelt 3. Since we were with some balikbayans, it is but right that we let them try out some fine Filipino dishes. We ended up trying Recipes and we're glad that we did.

I love their crispy tilapia (Php 175) that I can safely say is just like Max chicken's - sarap to the bones. Yumyum! We also tried their Laing (Php105) which was not spicy enough to my Bicolana's standard. Other dishes we tried were General chicken (Php 175), Lechon Kawali with Kangkong (Php175), Bangus belly with mango relish (Php165) and adobo flakes (Php 145)

Overall, we were happy we brought our balikbayan guest there except that their serving is a bit small and service was so-so. Waiters kept coming over to get back the menu which I specifically asked to be left behind. Oh well...

Try their Bottomless Ice Tea, they normally serve this in a pitcher.

Charlee's Tepanyaki

Bonding time with my Aunt. We decided to have dinner in Charlee's Tepanyaki located in Harbor Square. There are around 4 tables within the resto. Each table can sit maximum of 6-1o pax with one chef in the middle. Yes! The chef cooks your order right in front of you. I had so much fun watching his exhibition. Amazing site! Food was yummy too... ruined my diet. ARGH!

We were initially served with free tea and spicy dilis for appetizer. Then, we ordered Tuna fillet (Php 255), Mixed Veggies (Php 110) and Seafood fried rice (Php80). If you're a "fried rice person", I highly recommend trying their seafood fried rice. Taste really good albeit a bit oily but then what good is fried rice without oil. It's good that they serve tea.

So, caution to those on diet! Order house tea with your food to help cleanse your body of oil.

They also serve Set Menu, I suggest Set A for 350pax, its already complete comes with Appetizer, Green Salad, Miso Soup, Mixed Vegetable, Chicken, Tanigue, Tofu Fry, Fried Rice (order Kimchi fried rice as its chilly and taste very nice). The nice thing about Charlees Tepanyaki is that they will cook the food infront of you. Another nice thing about Charlees is that they have 3 kinds of Sauces, Soya with garlic and chili for the meat, Lemon with Raddish for the fish and Sesame with salt and pepper.

Parking fee is 25 and ticket should be validated at any restaurants in Harbor Square.

Dampa is food place a place located in Paranaque, but there is now a similar place found in Metro Manila along Macapagal Ave. which we have recently visited.

We went to Shylin Restaurant which you will find beside wet market. The first thing you will normally do is to shop for the ingredient, and to give you a perspective on how it would costs, we bought Squid for Calamares, Halaan for the Soup, Bamboo Shell (with Tausi) , 2pcs White pampano for steam, Shrimp for tempura, Lato, Brocolli for vegetable, and Oyster for Omelette. Our shopping cost is around P1,000. The cooking and softdrinks at Shylin cost us another P1,000. The total bill is 2,000. Not bad for 8 person.

Super Bowl of China at Tomas Morato

After playing billiard with my uncle we went to Super Bowl for a quick dinner. Super Bowl of China is a sister company of Big Buddha. We ordered Beef fillet with black pepper sauce, tender beef sauted with garlic for P220. Steamed fish fillet , garlic marinated, topped with roasted garlic for P210. Sauted mixed vegetable (Sauted baguio beans, black fungus, mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, turnips) for P165. My drink was a bottomless lemonate for P60.

Warning : Be careful with this establishment, after we ate, we asked for our bill and upon checking we found that there were 2 orders of Beef fillet in the total, but we ordered only 1. So we requested a refund from the manager for P220. Its either an honest mistake or the manager was doing this intentionally as they initially refused to refund the amount claiming that difficulty in their system.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant at Greenbelt 3

The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant and Market is a chain of seafood restaurants inspired by the 1994 film Forrest Gump.

Launched in 1996 by Viacom Consumer Products and the Rusty Pelican Company, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. became the first theme restaurant inspired by a film. There are now twenty locations, all located in the United States and Asia.

The menu consists mostly of shrimp dishes, but also other seafood, as well as Southern, and Cajun cuisine.

Anyhow we went to Bubba Gump to attend the birthday party of my fiance's friend. We were the first to arrive so we ordered Boat size basket of fries It. "dan says theyre the great with most most anything and lil forrest think theyre big enough to share" for P95. The most moronic system for getting your server to get you refills. What is ironic is that when we had the "stop forrest stop" sign up , and most will come by.

Next we ordered the main course which consist of Forrest shrimp net catch. Which is the best shrimp steamed in beer with potatoes and fresh vegetable and your choice of Bubbas garlic spice or secret recipe cajun spice for P550.

Our last course is Captains fish and chips Beer buttered mahi mahi with coleslaw for P390. For my drink I got Bottomless lemonade for P75.

Overall I love Bubba Gump for its nice service and I love shrimp so the restaurant suits me.

Fish & Co at Greenbelt 3

My fiance's older sister came from the province to visit her and we decided to dine at Fish & Co in Greenbelt 3. Its located on the 3rd floor of G3 near the cinema. I can safely say that its menu has everything I would willingly mortgage my soul for. Fish and chips! Mussels in garlic lemon butter sauce! Calamari! And so forth, ad jubilatium.

We started with their award winning Seafood Platter for 2, its an excellent choice for sharing as it has seasonal fish, calamari, tiger Prawn, Mussels in Creamy garlic and Lemon Butter Sauce, good for 3 to 4 person for P1395 . Then grilled porkchop basilico succulent 2pcs. porkchop seasoned and grilled to perfection, topped with tomatio caper relish for P485. last but not the least New York Fish and Chips, its your favorite fish and chips with generous parmesan cheese guaranteed to get you hooked for P395. Mmm, good! All washed down with bottomless strawberry lemonade for P90, yum! The rest ordered Sharkie Freeze for P225.

The nice thing about the meal was I managed to get a Bistro Gold Card out of the whole thing. 20% discount any time I visit a Bistro outlet (TGI Friday, Italianni's, Fish and Co., Outback), that will certainly be a big help to the budget. But I think Fish and Co. is going to be my favorite outlet for a long while.

Don't forget to order bestseller New York Fish and Chips when you visit Fish and Co.
