Quan Yin Chay Vegetarian

Although im not health conscious guy, but my Mom is a vegetarian, so for her birthday we went to Quan yin Chay, a vegetarian restaurant located at Masangkay. This restaurant is operated by a taoist. My aunt pre ordered the dishes which consist of Vegetarian Fish, Shark Fin Soup, Chopsuey, Kdney, Misua, Shrimp Tempura and Sweet and Sour fish. All of the dishes are vegetable or soya based. All the dishes looks and smell like they are the real thing, but actually are made of vegetables.

Tasty Dumplings

One of my favorite place is Tasty Dumpling at Binondo, the place looks clean and nice which is not typical Chinese restaurants which is always dirty. We ordered Porkchop Bihon for P85, Spareribs Rice P85 and Pork Chop Tossed Noodle P92, for our drinkswe ordered Winter Melon Juice for P33. The food here is a little bland for my taste although I love the Porkchop which this place is famous for. But for those who are watching their diet, avoid the noodles which can be oily.

For those who will dine at Tasty Dumpling I suggest you order the Porkchop Bihon.

What a fortune

I was invited for a dinner at Golden Fortune Seafood Restaurant located at Luneta. This is the 2nd and newest branch for Golden Fortune, with the older branch located at Soler. The place looks clean and nice, we need to wait to be seated as a lot of people are dining at this place.

So we pre-ordered our dishes so that the food will arrive faster wen we already get a seat. We ordered Lo Han Chay P250, Special Pancit Canton P180, Fried Spare ribs with salt and pepper P220, Sizzling Beef Tenderloin with Down Under Sauce P300, Fookien Fried Oyster Cake P220, Mashed Polonchay with Seafood Soup P250.

There was so many dish thats why I was full in no time. But I don't like the Oyster Cake, as this does not taste good in this restaurant.

I was unable to get the address and phone for this place. sorry guy.

Lunch at Heaven n Egg

We were looking for a place to have our lunch that everyone will love, I remember that there is Heaven 'n Egg near our place and its in Morato. But normally its difficult to find a good parking space for this restaurant, so we went out early.

Here is a nice point from one blogger : "This is a place where the seats are swings and the servers wear wings. (Huh, say that again?) Seriously, it takes some getting used to – the seats in the middle are swings which really sway back and forth. There are “more normal” tables and chairs along the sides and towards the back of the restaurant. The servers, both men and women, wear t-shirts in an adorable sky blue with the words, ‘I am your angel’ on the front, and white tulle wings pinned at the back. Cute, not kitschy. The restaurant itself is done up in yellow light, all luminous and bright. It really looks and feels like a fine day in there.

Of course I just had to snag a table with a swing, so taken was I with its uniqueness. The table is a bit far from the swing, so I had to pull the table closer to me, which was great for me, but inconvenient for my Bin. We ended up having a semi tug-of-war with our little table. Boo gave up on the swing and opted for a high chair.

Of course after you’re done taking in the ambience, you zero in on the food. The usual suspects include pancakes, waffles, and eggs, which you can have done six ways: scrambled, egg white omelet, sunny-side up, over-easy, poached, and baked. There are soups, pasta dishes, salads, sandwiches, and Filipino rice dishes, of which the Angus Tapa and Eggs is supremely popular. Heavier dishes include pork chops and eggs, and steak with eggs. There’s also a complete line of coffee and tea drinks, soft drinks, milkshakes, and flavored sodas (P50-P65), which come from a true-blue soda fountain machine. "

We ordered Country Style Ham P185, Tuna Steak and Egg P175, Poached Salmon in Lemon Sauce P275 with mushroom pilaf. You must try Tuna Steak and Egg as I love it. I also recommend the Ice Tea as it taste very good.

M Museum Cafe

M Cafe is a nice place to hang out, but its located at the edge of Greenbelt 4, so its not really convenient to visit, we only went to M Cafe because a friend of ours has invited us to attend a free Jazz Concert because they are sponsoring the event. The Jazz is held outside M Cafe, but we decided to sit inside because its much cooler. We ordered Cheesecake and Chiffon cake for (P175) which is quite expensive. But what the heck... we already have free Jazz music and free Cervesa Negra.
