Aioli Cafe

Aioli Cafe is an old Spanish style house turned into a cafe, a few meters from E. Rodriguez Sr. Ave. The Lanai is their smoking area, and the house itself is the airconditioned area. It has original beams, tiles and all, transformed into charming, flower laden restaurant.

Aioli's specialty is, as its name suggests, Aioli - the garlicky, egg based dressing - which is a great with almost any dish. Here it comes in three variants: the classic, orange and lemon.

We ordered wild Mushroom Soup, Spinach-filled Fish Fillet with Monk Sauce and Shredded corn as side, Strawberry Banana Shake and Black Coffee. The fish was perfectly cooked and not “rubbery” if you know what I mean, perfectly marinated — the herbs, spinach, mushrooms and fish blend so well in the mouth. The fruit shake has a zingy taste (done their special way), which is I should say is a must try.

You can also try their Beef Tapa, Pork loin Mignonettes, Balut Surprise, Surf n Turf, Marinara, Steamed Fish with Asparagus and Oyster Sauce, Prawns in Chili Ginger Sauce.

Amidst the bustle of the area, Aoli is a good choice and It’s nice to have the owner around to oversee our needs.

They accept cash and credit card, limited parking, smoking is allowed outdoor.
