Spiral Restaurant of Sofitel Philippine Plaza

We were able to borrow a Philippine Plaza card, which basically gives the bearer of the card 50% off the food bill which cost PHP 1200/head without the discount.

So off we went to this much talked about Spiral at Philippine Plaza(formerly Westin Philippine Plaza) of Sofitel. The hotel is located at CCP Complex and was newly renovated and opened middle of this year. It has many buffet station catering Meditteranian, Korean, Chinese,Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino, American, Italian, Indian and many more.

Lobby Entrace of Spiral

Signage in Floral Design

Chinese droplight lamps covered with silkcreened fabrics with floral and leafy designs.

Table for 4. Their utensils especially the knives, are very different from others .
the water glass green design is just right.

Chinese Dimsum Station

BBQ Station

Bread Station

Cheese Station

Dessert Station - Crepes, creme brulles, crepes, "halo halo"[a filipino dessert with crushed ice, sweetend beans & fruits, tapiocca, leche flan, jelly, ube, ice cream, milk and lots more, really delicious] cookies, many kinds of cake, ice cream, fruits and many many more.

Japanese Station

Vegetarian Station

Indian Station

Seafood Station - Crabs, Mussels and Oysters

For The Dinner I started with :

Dimsum : Chicken feet, Siomain ..

Then some Asado, BBQ and Beef

Then I had the green tea soba with a half-poached egg and a veggie tempura topping.

Then some tempura which is quite right.

Then some Salmon sashimi, Raw Oyster, Tuna

I tried the different kind of cheese which I did't like at all

This is my favorite Ice cream and etc..

Anyway, I tried almost all cuisines, and felt a little "sad" when I wasn't able to try on some Mongolian food. My gastronomic exercise ended with me eating about 2 big cups of ice cream. This is really one of the best hotel buffet to date. With their juicy and succulent lamb chops and tasty chinese food, fresh and yummy sushies, wide variety of desserts! Spiral is really a winner.

Dining at The Spiral, you'll even get the chance to see the beautiful sunset if you would choose to stay for a while after lunch or walk at the pool area or have some appetizer befor going to dinner.
